Meet Sidrah Ahmed – The Lady behind Sidrah’s Baking

Tell us who you are.

My name is Sidrah Ahmed resident of Falcon Complex. I am a self taught baker. I run a small home base bakery known as Sidrah’s Baking.

How did you got the idea of the business?

I always loved baking and cooking. So after creating so many yummy recipes for my family I decided to make it my way for some earning.

What was your mission at the time of starting?

Well I was feeling bored and wanted to do something that can be a good activity and also a way to earn something.

What products do you offer?

All types customized cakes( Fondant cakes, butter cream cakes, whipped cream cakes), brownies( simple fudge, oreo, walnut, also brownies with fondant toppers), customized cookies, cupcakes,(cream decorated, chocolate frosting, fondant toppers).

How do you advertise your business?

I advertise my business through social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. My family also helps me to find new clients.

What is unique about your business?

I not only try to provide good quality food but also budget friendly. I always try to guide my customers how they can design there cakes to have a good cake according to there desired design and also in there budget.

What are your responsibilities as business owner?

I manage everything from scratch to the finished product alone. In this way I can control product quality and hygiene. For little thing in between work, my family members help me sometimes.

What are your other interests in life?

Arts and craft, books, nature.

Where do you envision your self from 10 years from now?

10 years from now I see my brand as a reputed baking brand and as a small institute.

What two or three accomplishments that have given you most satisfaction? Why?

In my journey of baking I have attempted many things out of my comfort zone, but after seeing my creations I felt a sense of achievement. That not only boosted my confidence level but also taught me many things that will help me in future.
