CBM Work Progress – April 2023

Cantonment Board Malir (CBM) has been hard at work this month to keep the area clean and well-maintained for its residents. The CBM sanitation branch has been especially busy with waste lifting activities and routine sweeping work to ensure that the streets and public areas are kept clean and hygienic.

The sanitation branch has been working tirelessly to collect and dispose of waste from various areas within the CBM jurisdiction. This includes not only regular waste collection but also the removal of hazardous waste such as medical and chemical waste. Additionally, the routine sweeping work has been carried out to ensure that streets and public areas are free of litter and debris.

To further promote public health and cleanliness, a fumigation campaign has been conducted in various locations within the CBM jurisdiction. This campaign is designed to control the spread of diseases such as dengue fever and malaria by targeting areas where insects and pests are likely to breed.

The engineering branch of CBM has also been working to ensure the safety and functionality of the streetlights in the area. Repair and maintenance work has been carried out on streetlights to ensure that they are functioning properly, and that residents are not left in the dark.

In addition to the fumigation campaign, the sanitation branch has also been working on open space cleaning and leveling. This involves clearing out any debris or litter that may have accumulated in public spaces such as parks and playgrounds, as well as ensuring that the ground is leveled and safe for public use.

Overall, CBM has been working hard to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the area. By conducting waste lifting activities, routine sweeping work, fumigation campaigns, streetlight repairs, and open space cleaning and leveling work, CBM is ensuring that the area remains a safe and healthy place for its residents. The progress made in April 2023 is a testament to CBM’s commitment to serving its community and improving the quality of life for all those who call it home.
